Government College Shahpur surrounded by various educational institutions, having a clear view of mighty and snowy Dhauladhars, caters to the needs of more than fifteen hundred students. The government notification in 2006 videsno. EDN-A-Kha(16)-10/95-Part III loose, spread an educational wave that opened the doors of higher education to deprived students. The college has its commodious campus which was given to Central University and is currently housed in the hostel's newly built Science Block and a Geography Lab.
